Wells Chess Congress 6th - 8th March 2026
Following the growth in the Congress last year when Wells hosted its 2nd Annual Chess Congress we are delighted to announce the 3rd Wells Chess Congress. This year we are proud to also be hosting the West of England Championships which will add a more competitive edge to proceedings. This year we will also be having a 4 section, 5-round Swiss-style tournament that will be FIDE rated. Time controls will be 90min+30sec. On top of that we are also part of the ECF International Series in 2026. This is a series of high profile events that contribute towards a points tally. There is a £14,500 prize pot at the end of the year!
