Wells Chess Congress 2025
Following the success last year Wells hosted its 2nd Annual Chess Congress on the weekend of 7th to the 9th March. This year we were supported again by Rugantinos and the White Hart. We had an increase in numbers from 108 to 128 and there were 4 sections (click to see the results):
It was a 5 round Swiss-style format with 90min+30sec time controls. For more information see the Congress flyer
The weather was fabulous over the weekend and the Town Hall is a fantastic venue in the centre of this picturesque and historic city. The prize money was also increased from last year and there was some great chess on show.
